Summer is finally here – well, for a few days! June is my month off from crafting and creativity, where instead I maintain and potter around the garden, studying colour palettes and plant construction, which will become new card ideas once I start crafting again. What a brilliant day we had; our Beltane Fayre was an incredible success. The hall was stunning and smelt of huge bunches of lilacs I had picked, the soulful music of harps and flutes was perfectly played throughout the hall and the Maypole Cafe was absolutely delightful with its blue-checked tablecloths and potted bluebells and tulips. Along with the new adventures associated with promoting pagan craft fayres, I have also decided to start submitting my photographs to a stock library. I mentioned in March that I had been lazy last year with my photography, so this year I am going out daily. My niche is close-up macro photos of newly opened flowers before the bees take the pollen. I have finally finished the craft fair road signs. It was one of those projects that, on paper, looked like lots of fun. I was on day three of what turned out to be eight straight days, and I was starting to wonder what the heck I had taken on. I had not anticipated that one of the paints I was using needed five coats. Production in February has continued strongly from January and has been extensive and varied, not just tearing mountains of fabric but restocking hares for Ostara and Easter, making gifty robins and sorting unused pom poms for garlands I shall sell at the Beltane Fayre in May.
